Magazine Ads
Full color magazine ads are costly, so they must make a big impression. Here are a few of the ads I designed utilizing professional photography of horses whose names were currently in the spotlight, assuring a second look at the product associated with these great equine athletes. Magazine Ad #1: I Want Revenge
For this ad, the horse's name and stable colors were utilized to build a bond between the product and the success of this horse, who would have been top-of-mind to anyone in the target audience. He was, at the time, a favorite for the upcoming 2009 Kentucky Derby.
Magazine Ad #3: Sapphire
This ad shows the evolution of the company branding to a new slogan, "Reach the Peak", slightly revised and stylized mountain and ring logo, and the mountain peak photo frame, which would then be used in many subsequent advertising efforts. This ad also shows the revised product labelling which was updated under my leadership.
Magazine Ad #2: Payton d'Oro
Some graphic elements in this layout were intentionally similar to the I Want Revenge ad which was run in the same publication, but in a different edition.
